Done with Hiragana!
We’re now halfway through our semester learning Hiragana & Katakana. Last week we had our final review of Hiragana (it was a doozy!) It’s rewarding to say we have completed one writing system of Japanese, but we have much more to learn.
In June we will be making 3 trips to 3 different cities. Tulsa, St. Louis, and Kansas City. Half of these trips is to be spending time with our families, however, we also are taking the opportunity to reach out to local churches and talk about our mission to Japan. Those who are currently supporting us are helping us in our expenses that arise from trips like this, which include gas money, printing support materials, some food, and potentially in the future lodging if the need arises.
Our last month was full of family and friends. The beginning of the month, we were in St. Louis with family and meeting with friends about support. Jeremy and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary on May 16th. Jeremy was preaching at Karis this past weekend and took extensive time to prepare for that. You can listen to his sermon here.
I was busy the last week preparing for a wedding. I had the honor of photographing some friends from Karis, and even had help from my sister in law, Michelle. She got a candid of me in action ;)
We are excited for our summer to be traveling to other cities, but also want to maintain our relationships here in CoMO. You can pray that we would be invested here in Columbia, but also have fruitful meetings during our trips that push us to getting to Japan by next Spring.
Thank you for your prayers, your support, and encouragement. If you live in one of the cities I mentioned and want to get together, please let me know!
And here are some pics of the girls recently.
